Bow Sight delema
« on: May 05, 2014, 10:52:13 PM »
I bought my first bow a couple months back and it came with a trophy ridge 3pin sight on it. A buddy has a Trophy Ridge 5 Pin sight for sell for 50 bones, from the pics he sent me it looks like a Trophy Ridge Cypher 5-pin. Which sounds like a decent sight and is already a step up from what i have,Which i really want a 5 pin. But then I seen there is is a Trophy Ridge Cypher 5-pin micro and i Was wondering what the difference between micro and non- micro?

The Micro has fine micro windage and elevation adjustments the standard does not.  Standard has fewer things to rattle and go wrong.  The micro has easier and more precise gang adjustments.  I can never make up my mind which I like better :dunno:  Seems Monday thru Thursday I like the Micro.  Friday thru Sunday I like the standard :chuckle:

Well this is my first bow and i haven't even gone on a hunt with it. So I'm kinda put off on buying a spendier sight, But i think for the money it would be a good buy.

Sounds like the standard would be just fine for you.  Set it and forget it ;)

Spend the extra money buy a spot hogg with a wrap and never look back.  Or I also like the gold rush just make sure whatever you get you get the micro-adjustable so much easier to make little adjustments.  If you buy the Spot Hogg you will never have to buy another sight.  If it ever breaks sand it in they will fix it or send you a new one.  It is worth the extra money i promise.

Shoot your bow for while and get a feel on how it shoots at different ranges. Even give it a season. It's hard to make a decision on something this early in the game. You'll have time over the seasons to tinker with new equipment. Just get out and start shootin.
