5yr old papered Female GSP to good home.
« on: March 22, 2014, 08:55:39 PM »

My GSP is not getting the attention that she needs. My family is young, good cover is getting harder to find and I'm about ready to start a fishing guide service. We average 20-30 wild birds a year. This year only about 15. I always intended to have her bred so she has not been spayed. I have papers and pedigree for her (quality field and show lines) Sad to see her go, but it'll be worse to just see her point in the backyard.

Please PM for more info. Kennewick area.

I am interested but need more information.

When you say you average 20-30 birds a year, is that all upland birds, or waterfowl as well?

If just upland birds, do you think she would retrieve ducks/geese, or would be able to learn to?

Is she good around kids? (I have a 4 year old who LOVES dogs.)

Is she a fence jumper?
The reason I ask is that my fence on my side yard is 6ft tall, but on the back side of the house I have a deck that connects to the side yard, and the deck overhangs a hill full of blackberry bushes, so a jump over the deck railing would be about a 10 foot drop into the blackberry bushes.

I currently hunt just pheasant, or ducks with a friend and his dogs, and been learning about bird dogs from him, but never owned a hunting dog myself. I have been saving to buy a started dog because my wife won't let me get a puppy.(she doesn't want to help with potty training and I am not home much on weekdays) I recently spend my "dog" savings on a new shotgun though cause my pheasant/duck hunting partner was complaining about how loud my old shotgun was due to the porting on the barrel.

She's primarily an upland bird dog. I have a lab that does all of the cold water retrieves. I have to say that she' a pretty typical GSP. Tons of energy and ready to work. The stamina of her is amazing. My wife ran with her last summer a ton to improve her marathon times. She weighs around 42 lbs and is easy to manipulate. Never any issues with aggressive behavior.

I have her in a yard with a 4 ft hogwire fence and have no problems keeping her in. I've trained her to gates, so she doesn't leave, even if the gate is open.

If you want to PM me I can return the email with her litter certificate and bloodlines. She's out of Pendelton, OR and cost $800.

I am interested in your dog.  I have a lot of experience hunting and training this breed.  I have a older Gsp, looking to replace her with a started dog. Hunt most weeks throughout the season.  Pm thanks

I will be in the Ellensburg area tomorrow. If you're in that neck of the woods and would like to take a look at her, please shoot me a PM. THanks for helping me find a good home for her.

Still do. I've been running down some leads. Just haven't found the right place for her still. Shoot me a PM.

My GSP is still up for grabs. Lots of interest but just have not found the right place for her. I'm getting a little less picky but still looking for the right fit.
