Newport Turkeys?
« on: March 26, 2014, 08:58:53 AM »
Ill be driving from Marysville to pick up a 1978 Bronco in Newport, WA next month. I figured I would hunt while Im over there, kill 2 birds so to speak.

Anyone know if that area is any good or should I just make for Colville after I pick it up? :dunno:

If you have any coin left after buying the bronco, book a trip with Bearpaw?

The Newport City Park is often found to hold a huge flock of turkeys.  Driving through town, you'll find MANY turkeys in people's yards...lol

I camp in the campground in Newport and hunt all over in the area. You will see turkey in town, but there is also a lot of public land to hunt. Talk to the guys at the sporting goods shop and buy something they will usually steer you in the right direction.

Head North, East side of the river to public land.  Don't be afraid to knock on doors.
