Like this??Heard some thumping coming from the back room and this is what I found. And they attack the bumper on my truck everyday.

sure am getting the fever but work may alter my hunting plans this year ...most likely go into my late hunt routine...How many birds have you seen around this year ...should be a banner year ??

Looks like a good year. Don't know if it's going to be a "banner year" though. Winter flocks are splitting up as we speak. I saw two groups of birds that spent the winter in my back yard crossing the road about a mile away this morning. When you spend every day from Dec. thru March feeding and watching them , you get to recognize certain groups/birds.  How many turkeys do you see in the pics?? at least once a week these birds would fly off the roost and one would fly into the peak of the Lodge. KaBoom!!

I think I see 17, but then again, I think I need glasses.

I count 17 possibly 18 but not sure if its a bushy limb, do turkeys hunters shoot them out of the trees if they see one up there?

Some do and some don't . There was a thread about shooting turkeys in trees just a while back..

Seriously, I understand how that can be a problem.  One thing you could try is laying chicken wire in front the windows, that is a similar tactic that has been used to keep them from tearing up hay bales in other places.  I've heard that they don't like the way it feels under their feet, might be worth a shot.

Then again, they are doing this because of a hormone surge, so a sexed up gobbler may not care about his feet.

We are once again having our windows attacked by the bird brained gobblers. They see their reflection in the window beside the front door and attack themselves by beating their heads against the window- to the point of leaving blood and slobber on it. Plan to tape up some cardboard to the window tomorrow but it looks trashy so I need to figure out a better alternative to keep them away. Besides which when they are attacking their reflection they are leaving lots of poop at the front door. Nice to have wildlife at home but some of it is quite a nuisance.

Might want to try some clear plastic wrap on the lower part of the window. This way you can still see through somewhat but will take the glare off the window. Just my 2 cents.
