I just do mine in my back yard, good for ~30-35 yards, I have an undeveloped greenbelt bordering my backyard.  What would be your maximum distance?

I don't see North Whidbey Sportsman's Assoc. as being any cheaper ($80.00 plus $20.00 assessment fee) alternative than driving to MV to sight in a bow.  They frequently shut the paid members out for LE training or competition.  Speaking from experience here.  No shooting firearms Sunday morning period.  Also many diverse "Elitist" jerk personalities I've encountered there.  Maybe they have gotten their act together since I was a member in the 90's.  Just my 2c.

PM sent.  Shouldn't be a problem, however my backyard is currently undergoing some changes to install a new septic drainfield back there:

North Whidbey's archery range is garbage.  My friends and I have tried to contact the guy in charge of their Archery range to work on improving it with no luck.  Your best bet is to go to Silver Arrow in Mount Vernon, they have an excellent course and a 50 yard flat range.

I had a deer and bear target in the backyard I would have offered up until someone stole them early Saturday morning before Superbowl. You could shoot out to 50yds. So if anyone sees a black bear target with a yellow spot on the target let me know.

The head of the shooting range down by Alt Field is trying to get an archery range setup if he can find folks interested. He says he has funds and plenty of room allocated for the project.

Good luck finding something.

Silver Arrow Bowmen in Mount Vernon may be a little farther than you want to go, but is the closest real range. We sport a 50 target walk through course aprox 3 miles long. there are 3 "loops" that can be shot so that you can start/ stop about every 17 targets or so. we have a covered Lighted flat range 10-50 yards quarter operated lights. $2 per person/day. open to the public 360 days a year CHEEP membership single $30 Family $40 + $10 initiation...  You wont be disapointed, make it a half day trek for some shooting with you family/friends.

In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.
