What's the going rate for .22 ammo?
« on: March 29, 2014, 10:48:17 AM »
I see Sportsman's Warehouse has a number of bricks of .22 (Thunderbolt) ammo for $24, which is about $.05/round.  I've been hearing .22 ammo is becoming more available lately - is that the going rate these days?  I'd like to find it for about $.03/round.  What are my chances?

When available, WalMart has 550-count Remington bricks for $23/box, which is also in the 5¢/round range.  I think you are getting old if you think you will be able to purchase at 3¢/round again.  That's like coffee for 25¢ per cup.

Yeah, maybe.  I'm also waiting for gas to get down below $1.50/gallon. :chuckle:

The bricks were at the Federal Way store yesterday.  I'm not a big Thunderbolt fan so I'll wait for the ones I like, the Remington hollow points.

When Bi-Mart has Federal 525 packs they are $23,  its been a month since they've had some.

They do have more regularly Remington Thunderbolts in the 50 round box for $1.60.

Forget about the gougers on Armslist!!!   I think in time they will have to eat em!! :chuckle:

I picked up 4 525 round bulk Remington at Bi-Mart in the Dalles for under $19 each. Went into Big Five in Sunnyside this morning to get some 22WMR ammo and they had Winchester 22LR, but didn't check the price.

I just bought 2 boxes of the 500 round Winchester in Sunnyside at the big5 store last week for about $30/box.  Seemed expensive to me, but they only got in 2 1000 round boxes.

When I was there yesterday around 4pm they had about 10-12 bricks stacked to the left of the register on the gun counter.  They weren't priced so I asked a guy at the gun counter and he told me they were $24.  No doubt they sold out pretty quickly.

last week fisherman's marina @ delta park. Had 1400 round buckets $89. Can't remember the brand thought it was a little spendy.
Hey! I'm not a complete idiot I have parts missing. Though sometimes I wonder.
