Blacklab,

I just bought a Model 1 Sales 204 complete upper. Have you shot anything with yours ?

Not yet just paper trying to dial in on hand loads. Soon though  ;) How bout you?

Mine's not sighted in either. I did kill some dirt just to see what it felt like to shoot.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

Mine is a 24 inch bull barrel on a New Frontier polymer lower and it's still heavy. It's almost like shooting a 22 mag.

Mine's not sighted in either. I did kill some dirt just to see what it felt like to shoot.

Pretty easy really, you just have to get the chemicals (i.e. Sulfuric acid, cleaner, sealer and dye), a way to control temperatures (i.e. fish tank heaters or kitchen roasters) and a variable DC power supply (i.e. oriley's battery charger or high end DC power supply).

I started doing it on motorcycle stuff, then I got into 80 percent AR's and 10/22's.  It's a lot of fun.
We could say [Democrats] spend money like drunken Sailors, but that would be unfair to drunken Sailors. It would be unfair, because the Sailors are spending their own money.

Just about anyone can wind an AR together

A few can finish a 80% rec'r properly

But you sir have set the bar pretty high with doing your own anodizing.

I like that first picture Rori.............nice looking gun.

thanks I like screwing around with my camera and my guns the guns make good models.  I need to paint/finish it but have not found the time.  It was fun to build and it wasnt too bad to get all dialed in its pretty accurate, next is work up loads and find its favorite food.

Is there a conversion kit to make the 5.56 NATO a bigger cal say like 308?

No not for the ar-15. There is some nice rounds that will work in the ar-15 platform but to get to the rounds like 6.5 cred 308 7mm-08 etc. You have to go up to the ar-10 platform.
