Nice. How much lighter are those than a standard M16 carrier?

1.5 oz

It isn't the lightest carrier on market. I wanted to stay conservative and not get too weird with them. I also wanted to keep larger radii to reduce the risk of cracking.

Here's our little M&P family.

I am waiting on a couple of Form 4's for 2 .300BO SBR Johnny Rifle Noveske's from Rainier Arms. Few more months to go still....

Nice guns, neighbor. We should do some shooting.
Sounds good. I need to get up to Clark Rifle range and sight in a couple for hunting season. Not sure when I will have time with all the trips up to scout I have been doing. Probably next month, September at latest.

Is the one on the far right with the suppressor an AR-10?

Yes. From LtoR.
S&W M&P15 MOE
S&W M&P15-22 MOE (love this little plinker-Favorite thing to shoot most of the time)
S&W M&P10 MOE w/AAC SDN-762

I have the bigger rifles set up with the AAC 51T ratchet mount muzzle brakes so I can go from one to the other with just a few quick turns.

The Johny Rifle is in .300BO and the supressor will go on it right from the factory with the 51T flash hider they sell it with. That is what I am really excited for. Thinking I am going to put the new Vortex 1-6 Strike Eagle optic on it when the SBR stamp comes in.

That makes sense.

Can you drill & tap one for a left side charging handle before heat treat? I'm thinking about machining my own, but tapping that hardened steel can be a problem.

Very nice! I have a Mega Maten AR-10 that I really like. I agree with the AR-22lr's are fun to shoot. I built one from a 80% polymere lower and a polymere upper. Very light and easy. I also have an AR-45acp with 30 round grease gun mags that is a tac driver. It's one of my favorites. Nice looking collection you have.....

Here she is. It has a SGW or Olympic Arms barrel. I built this back in the mid 90's and it had an older A-2 upper. I since put a flat top upper on it. To make the grease gun mags work, I had to peal some metal off the sides of the mag and open up the mag well slightly. I love this carbine. I have had it for over twenty years.

Here is my most recent build. My AR-22lr. It turned out to be very light with the polymere upper and lower. The lower was an 80%er that I machined out the trigger pocket.

Nice pistol caliber carbine.  I would love one in 10 mm.

SWEET! I love old guns more than new ones.

Haven't built my own yet but it is on my bucket list for sure. Safe is getting a little to full at the moment so I will likely be adding another safe before I get to do that or should I say have the budget for that.

F10und3rz, Olympic Arms does make a 10mm barrel and you can use the same grease gun mags. A 10mm round will fit in the grease gun mag. You might have to tweek the feed lips slightly. I have a D-Max 10mm carbine that was manufactured in Auburn Wash. in the early 90's and it uses a grease gun mag. On the .45acp carbine, I went that route because the only other mag used in that conversion is the 16 round Uzi mags. I did not want the limited capacity of 16 rounds and .45acp Uzi mags were not that common back then. Now the 16 round .45acp stamped Uzi mags are hard to find. Because of there rarity, if you do find one, you are going to pay well over $100.00 for the mag. Some guys are using the .41AE Uzi mags and tweeking the feed lips so the .45acp will work. But they are still marked .41AE. If you put together just the upper, you can use it with the lower you already have. Almost all uppers will interchange with almost all lowers. The one lower that will not accept most modern uppers is my older Colt SP1 lower. The push pins are different. You can even go with a 9mm upper to your lower and they are using 30 round Glock 17 mags. Heck for that matter. A company called B.O.H.I.C.A. makes a .50BMG upper you can marry with your lower. That is the cool thing about modern AR's, is all the different calibers you can use in an upper and have only one lower. 300 black out, 6.8, 5.7, 7.62x39, 5.45x39, etc.
