Here is another batch for you fellows.  JDB and I went for a foray in the desert, and didn't find any bucks to shoot, but on the way home, took the canyon and after spotting a pile of ewes, this guy jumped out at us.  He is one of the better rams that I have seen in the canyon, at least in regards to mass.

actually he was in a spot I have never seen them and we were still a long ways away. :)

Are those pics cropped? I was shooting with my 400mm lens also, but when I try and crop mine, they get all grainy....

Yes they are cropped.   Thats one advantage of a big lens.

I think this one was uncropped.   I was shooting a 400mm with a 1.4 doubler and with my crop factor, thats about 800mm or so.
