Im going to get a vortex pst.  The main purpose is to shoot coyotes.  Im thinking the farthest shooting would 300-400 yrds.  Other than that 100 yard and up to 40.    Thats what I like about the 2.5-10.  Big field of view.  Do you think I could take a longer shot with a 223 rnd with the 2.5-10  like further than 400.  Is that to far to kill a coyote?  Im thinking the 4-16x50 woul do great on my 30.06 if I was wanting to do long rang shooting.  Im not sure can you buy a sfp with parallax.  Thanks for your help.

a 10 power optic will let you go as far as a 223 will let you go.

so

what are you shooting out of the 223??

Agreed, the 10X will reach out further than your .223 is capable of shooting so no problem there. Many SFP Scopes come with parallax, the PST - HS- PA from Vortex can be had with parallax adjustment. The 4-16X50 & 4-16X44 have the same field of view. The 50 will allow more light in at low light.

I'd go 4-16 but I like higher mag ranges than some.

U may want to look at sightron siii scopes for better optics at similar price points.

I have a Viper PST 2.5-10 FFP on my recce.

It's a nice little scope, but it is definately not a Nightforce

It's also $700 where a Nightforce is $2k +, right?
