Washington state record blacktail

I'm trying to find a picture of the washingston state record blacktail and can not find it anywhere. Does anyone know where to look. Thanks in advance.

A little birdie told me that there is a new pending World Record Blacktail that is also from Wa. state.  It looks danged impressive!!!

old topic but why start a new one?

is this the castle rock buck i saw at the puyallup show?  that thing was incredible but can they really score it with the skull plate broken between the antlers?

The new one is a typical 4X4, nets 184 and change, has 6 1/8" bases and has been hanging on the wall of a tavern for 60+ years, it was taken in the 1930's in Castle Rock. DNA tests are being done to confirm that it is indeed a BT.

yeah thats the one.  it had incredible mass all the way out.  It looked like it was broken to me and they had it screwed to a board to hold it together :dunno:

I believe with a broken skull plate it would be disqualified for record entry. Not sure...bow4elk would know for sure. Still mighty nice.

To think that I (along with everybody else), had looked at that set of horns for 20 years before Rismoen got them.  I thought it was a mulie!  He just happened to know the shooter and had heard the story.

I saw that buck too. I had a pretty good look at the skull plate and that piece of wood they had attached to the back. It was hard to tell if it was broken or not. Awesome buck for sure.

Lived in castle rock my hole life and looked at those racks for years in the pastime. Little did we know the state record was there. I'm like Joevon if those walls could talk.
