Question: should I be mindful about where I purchase my new hoyt?
buy it from a shop you trust to set it up for you.

Question: should I be mindful about where I purchase my new hoyt?

Depends on how important service after the sale is to you.  Hoyt will service your bow through any Hoyt dealer whether you purchased it through that shop or not.  But there are a lot of things that can go haywire with a bow that do not require it to be sent back to the manufacturer.  Those services will cost you money unless you are working with the shop you purchased from.  And even then there are no guarantees that shop will consider the issue a free support issue.

Myself, I research and chose the best doctor for myself, the best plumber for my house, the best electrician for my business and the best mechanic for my truck.  If I'm willing to do those things why wouldn't I want the very best pro-shop available to take care of my over priced bow :dunno:
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

Fletch Setter gets great marks for prices and deals.  But, I've heard mixed reviews about service issues.  Take that for what it's worth as I have not been there personally and do not know them.  I do know the best service related reviews and the guys I know well in Western Washington are Riverside Archery in Mount Vernon.  But 75 miles each way could be a little much for the average guy!

Is the lack of response , because of bad experiences?

I would expect it's because it's Sunday!  Threads tend to move slow over the weekend.  Guys like to waste their employers time, not their own :chuckle:

Doug at great northwest archery is a good guy. He will take care of all your needs, tuning, setup of your bow, etc. I bought my last two bows from him, always had great service.
