Exo Mountain Gear Pack
« on: April 05, 2014, 06:21:46 PM »
So I wanted to start this because the company and product look awesome.  I just placed my order for the mid-May production run of Coyote/Coyote with the 3500 cc pack.  I know that there are a few other hunters here who have placed orders prior to me and a few who are taking a good look at these packs.  My goal is for people to put up there experiences with the packs and put reviews on here so that others can get info.

Looking forward to some reviews. It'll either be this pack or the kuiu ultra.

Ok so the price on the pack starts at $449.  Shipping is $15 bucks flat rate.  There was no tax added, so my order came out to $464 even.  Foliage is the same price.  ASAT camo would be $514 even.  These are for the 3500 cc packs.  The 5500 cc pack/frame in coyote/foliage looks like $514, the ASAT camo pack/frame $564.

I'm interested to see some third party reviews on these packs. If they are all they claim to be, the price is really good. Although, I won't be switching from my Kifaru any time soon, I think.

I'm going to put mine up as soon as I test it out.  The guys from Born And Raised used the packs last season based on pictures that I have seen.  They have some comments on the their Facebook page.  I guess that would be a start.

Some independent reviews are up on the Exo blog.  These guys have packs in hand.  One used it on a bear hunt, the other gave his initial impression.  Just FYI.

I'm sure these will be great packs. I'm skeptical of reviews posted on a manufacturers blog of said manufacturers products though. Looking forward to hearing reviews on these forums.

Did you pull the trigger on the ultra ?? I should be getting my 1800 at the end of the month hopefully

Only negative thing I've seen reported on the exo is too soft of a frame...but the ultra seems to be having pressure point issues...

No. Now I'll have to wait and check out Brian's exo pack before I do anything. I'm really waiting for some reviews to start showing up to see what's what.

I preordered and asat 3500. I was very skeptical that they never gave a pack to test to someone who wasn't their friend or business partner . I told em so, but it looks like a good product so I gave it a whirl. Hope it comes through as a nice pack.

EHM (summer issue) did a review on the EXO pack and 11 other pack systems.  If anyone is interested it is a pretty good read.
