Springers! (Updated 4/13)
«

I fished out of Portco this weekend with my dad and ScottCRB (memeber here) on Fri-Sun. Fishing was spotty but we managed some action. Fri we lost 2, Sat was a total blank and today we went 3/3 before noon. Great finish! All fish caught on herring/fish flash on the down hill troll. This was also the inaugural trip in my dad's new boat. It worked and fished great! Looking forward to many fishing days ahead! Glad to hear about the week extension, we'll be back at it next week sometime. Good luck, tight lines!

I figured it was green but had to ask. Last time I was down there that was the only size that they would hit.

Yeah, that's most often the case but I have gotten them on blue labels. When the water is dirty the bigger bait seems to help out. The water was better than expected this weekend, about 3' of his but still only about 45°. This upcoming week should be good til the end.

Congrats on the fish. My buddy also had a luck day yesterday with 5 in his boat. They all appeared like cookie cut outs as they were all about the exact same size.

Finished up another fun weekend of Springer fishing. Between 2 boats and 6 guys we bonked 10 and released 1 highfinner. We could've done way better but our hook to land ratio was terrible! In 3 days on anchor we combined for over 30 hookups, takedowns and drivebys. Both boats were able to get full limits today though so it was another great finish! These last 2 weekends have been some great fishing! My kid nephew was able to catch his first 2 salmon as well. Now its time to bring on the 'buts!
