What's your everyday carry knife?
« on: April 06, 2014, 06:54:07 PM »
What's everyone carry for a knife everyday? I have a ton of knives but these 4 make it on my side 99% of the time.

Orange one is a kershaw scallion

Black one is a benchmade 530 I just got with my rei refund and it's a nice thin little guy with a nice blade

Yellow one is my edc at work, Spydeco Atlantic salt

Leatherman Supertool 300 is my go to multi tool, have a sog and a gerber but they break to much

Flashlight is a surefire E2D excutive defender, the sharpened bezel is great for cutting open boxes too!

I've got an old brass and wood handled pocket knife I bought in a 2nd hand store in Santa Barbara during a road trip about 15 years ago. I had one exactly like it for about 13 years that I got from a Fishing and Hunting News survey form that I filled out. I set it down in one of my accounts and just forgot to pick it up and it was gone. I've still got this one and it works just fine at work and around camp. I've had to gut a couple of animals with it but never had to skin one but I'm sure it would do fine in a pinch.

Benchmade 3550 Automatic Mel Pardue. 154CM. Love this knife. I have had 3. First one was used, given to me by a friend to take on a deployment. The spring broke and it got put in a box to get fixed later. Then I found one in a turret of a HMMWV on the deployment. That one was stolen out of my pocket by the webbing seats and straps of a C-130 on the deployment. So I bought one online and had it shipped to Iraq. The broken one I took to Benchmade and they fixed for free. Its on its 3rd deployment that I know of. and I still have the one I ordered. I stop by the factory every summer and they strip it down clean it sharpen it and replace the bearings for free. LOVE BENCHMADE! Excellent costumer service and an UNBEATABLE Military/Law Enforcement discount.

Victorinox model Officier. I have not been without this knife for 20 years at least. I'm naked without it.

It's an old brass and hardwood Schrade-Walden, folding knife with a 4" blade that holds a wicked edge.

Weighs about half a pound but I like it
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

Nice and compact, only need a blade. Thin  so it is not problem in nicer pants.

Only problem is it is a slippery little rascal that will occasionally slip out of my pocket when lounging around.
