Springers and Sturgeon

Springers are fun but my beloved Sturgeon are better!!!

I really like the Avet - Trevala combos...  Got two oversized, one keeper sized - all three in a row on the same "secret" bait......  and ooggles of shakers in the 1.5hrs we had to get away from the 8 hrs of boredom of springer's.

Very nice catch  ,besides the fact that you rather fish for sturgeon -how is the springer action ? Went with Ripper and F.C. last year for sturgeon - I had blast ,we did some C&R and there were 2 keepers on secret bait  :chuckle:in secret spot

Where you fishing by the secret Island on the big deep secret hole? Are they hitting smelt now? I've heard that there are lot's of smelt in the river. I know that's not your secret bait so I felt comfortable asking about it.
