Thanks guys! and WVHUNTER- No 60 yrds is not pushing it at all, I understand back east you guys hunt out of stands 99% of the time and 20-30 yrd shots are the norm... not out west in the open parts of the state where mulies live, with todays equipment and PRACTICE PRACTICE etc those shot are fine if you are capable of making them... many people always say well the deer could jump the string etc well I have seen PLENTY jump themstring at 15-20 yrds! so it is all on the situation and so many other variables, this deer was infact somewhat alert and knew we were there. yet still with my wifes bow only shooting 240 fps the doe did not flintch a muscle until megans arrow was already in her vitals.......... I have shot more then 25 deer at 60 + yrds and never had a issue with any of them, maybe im lucky, or maybe I know when to take such shots? I also know plenty of competition buddies that have shot deer at over 70 yrds, my buddy Chris shot the new oregon state record non typical mulie last year, a huge 11x13 that scored just over 234 at 72 yrds..... double lung, deer did not flintch and went less then 30 yrds and pilled up.......... its all on the shooter, the bow and that situation at the time of the shot........
