Need advice on outfitting my new bow.

So I got my order in on Friday for my very first bow!  Hoyt Faktor 34. Do you guys recommend 1pin or multiple pin sights?  Rest? Stabilizer? Quiver? Any recommendations for this excited rookie are welcome and encouraged.

Just starting id go with a 3pin sight or a 5pin. Depends on how you react to multi pins in your sight picture. Rests are kind of user preferance, I like fall away or limb driven where a lot peoplw like whisker biscuits or similar. Beestinger stablizers are great though spendy, theres end less options length and weights. Youll need to let us know what your plans are hunting, target or??? Quivers I preffer the octane dead lock pro.

Id say best bet is to go try some rests and see which ones you like. Same with sights, axcel and spothog have great sights, and the g5 sights seem solid.

You will see all sorts of replys but really its what is to your liking

I prefer a single pin sight, and run the Hogg Father on my bows. But I'm not sure it's a good sight for a first bow. I'd recommend to stick with spott hogg sights and go with a 3 or 5 pin Hunter. I'd stay away from anything with an extended dove tail arm as you'll hate shooting with it until you get really steady with your form. For a rest I like the full containment style and use a QAD HDX. Very popular rest and for good reason. Stabilizers are all personal preference, so go shoot a BUNCH of them. I settled on the B Stinger Pro Hunter Maxx 10".

Whatever you buy, I'm sure you'll end up changing it as you figure out what you want/need for your style

Thanks guys. Guess I should have said for hunting.  I hear a lot of good things about the products you have mentioned so far. Guess my main concern was with a sight but sounds like as a newbie to go with 3 or 5 pin to start. I hear a lot of people use the tight spot quiver?  Thoughts on these?

The dead lock pro is very close to the tight spot but way less money.

Tight Spot is the only way to go in my opinion.

I would definitely choose 5 pin rather than 3.  It's nice to have a pin at 5 different distances - 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60 for me.  Your 20 yard pin will hit very close to the bullseye on anything up to 20 yards and most people will not shoot at a game animal beyond 60 yards so that setup seems to work  pretty well.  Also, I have found vertical pins to be more desirable that horizontal because they block much less of the overall sight picture.

My sight of choice is the Trophy Ridge 5-pin that I bought a few years ago which does not require any tools for up/down adjustment.  If I were looking for a new sight I would be looking for one with tool-less up/down & side to side micro adjustments.  Not sure whether those even exist.
