Well that's sure nice that gots 14 is now closed :bash: :bash:.  Guess I'm glad I didn't get drawn.  Any reason for the closure?
No Idea Why.  I Don't Think There Is Much Back There anyway :dunno:  Been Back There A Few Times.  The Email Said Safety Reasons.
oh well I guess.

The biggest surprise to me during my spring bear hunt is how many big blacktails live in this area. I saw many many big rubs and live deer. There is no shortage that's for sure.
I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I'm not!

Saw the sign they posted today, stated.

"AREA NOW CLOSED TO SPRING BEAR HUNT, DUE TO PUBLIC SAFETY CONCERNS, WADNR 4/25/14"

So it sounds like if the general public calls in and says they are concerned for their safety the DNR will shut down a road system. Never seen this sign during any fall hunting season. If I had this spring tag I would raise hell.

I Have Put Cams Behind That Gate In The Summer And Gotten Some Nice Bear Pics.  They Were Always At Night Thought.
I Sent Cole From Dfw An Email.Tonight Asking why.

Tried Something Different Tonight.  I Sat.  Four Hours Tonight In An Area I Have Seen Some Poo.  Half Hour Before Dark I Heard A Large Log, Or Branch Break About 50 Yards Behind Me But Didn't See Or Hear Anything Else.
I Did Have A Very Cool, And Curious Bug Visit Me Tonight.  Zoom In On Him And Take A Look.  Then On The Way Out Saw A Deer.  Sorry For The Crappy Pic, But I'll Post It Anyway.
I Got An Email Today From Cole At The dfw.  He Said Gate 14 Was Closed Because People On Horses Say They Had Bullets Flying By Them, And Someone May Have Been Hurt In Some Way.
Took The Day Off Tommorow So I'll Be Heading Out For The Day.  With This Warm Weather I Had To.  I'll Start By Checking My Cam.  If There Is No Pics I'll Probably Move it.

Deer and bear in the same area, sounds like a spot for fawn in distress calling?
