D-Rock just wishes he could afford an assault bear gun (which he could probably do if he didn't buy a new arrow slinger every year).  He wishes his little child gun had rapid fire capability or a bullet the size of a .308.

He doesn't love bears... I think I've actually heard him say "I hate bears... *$%& bears".  If he had a M1A he'd be using it too.

One thing I've learned about battle rifles and bears is that you should use that rapid fire capability and keep shooting until you see it roll up, unless you like tracking bears in the dark.

Went And Sat IM My Peel Spot Tonight With No Action.  Followed A Trail That Led Me About Half Mile To A Road Where I Found 6 Piles O Poo In A Quarter Mile.
No IM Trying To Figure Out If There Is More Than One Bear Or A Couple In The area :dunno:  No Fresh Peels I Could See, And The Poo Was Dark On The Outside But Green In The Middle.  Some Of It Had bugs In It So IM Guessing Few Days Old.
Daughter And I Are Going To Check The Camera Tommorow Then Maybe Move It If There Is Nothing On It.
I Can't Seem To Catch Up To The One Making The Peels.

Sat At My peel Spot Again Tonight.  When I Got In There There Was A Fresh Peel Ten Yards Away From Where I sit :bash:  Saw A Track On The Trail In.  Judging By The Size I Think It's A Smaller Bear.

The biggest surprise for me from my hunt was that lack of response from calling does not mean they aren't there. I called for 3 hours total in different spots yesterday surrounding the spot where the bear walked out of at twilight.
