NE WA elk sheds
« on: April 13, 2014, 11:21:39 PM »
Past weekend we went up to look for bears and shed hunted some. Bears don't seen to be out moving at all. Walked over 20+ miles found 0 sign of bears and a few I know in town have yet to see one out. We looked for bone instead found the 2 bigger ones 10 yards apart and couldn't not find the other sides. Saw 3 bulls still packing and about 60 elk. 1 big cougar today walked out in front of me . Ticks are extremely bad this year I have never seen it as bad.

Old chewed up one woulda been a 7

Both bulls should be really nice this year. Both those sheds are a year old. The bigger one should be a toad if alive.

Just hung one yesterday and couldnt get into the area I wanted to hang one due to snow. Cool thing about this little area is the elk spend all 4 seasons here. I dont hunt nearly enough here and should, but having a ID non res elk tag burning a hole in your pocket doesnt help  :chuckle:. I spent 1 day in the area all of last archery season and called a bull in first morning and couldnt see it. It is barely hunted, I know of one person who rifle hunts the area and has never seen a rifle hunter.

Very nice find. You post the location and I will bet you the hunters will flock in there.
