My new Buddy
« on: November 23, 2008, 10:58:01 PM »
I just adopted a one year old German Wire Hair Pointer.  She is very birdy, very calm, and very mild mannerd in the house.  I have not shot over her yet, but I can tell she is going to be a very good gun dog...

I have been looking for a hunting dog for over a year.  I have visited breeders of Vizslas, Labs, Goldens, Etc...I was really serious about a Deutsch-Drahthaar or a Pudelpointer until I went to the dog show in Monroe with my wife...I was talking to the breeder of this fine dog and she asked me if I wanted to go and meet this dog that she wanted to find a good hunting/showing home for...I said sure...low and behold I fell in love with her and talked it over with my wife for a week...(my wife shows dogs for confirmation) and then the breeder and I agreed on a contract and I went and picked her up yesterday.  I hope to post many reports of her and I's success.  So far so good with the training, and I am signing for an obedience class that starts soon...The breeders are from Snohomish, but I do not wish to discuss prices on the internet.
