Climbing sticks
« on: April 08, 2014, 04:27:01 PM »
I have been looking at a variety of these and they seem to have alot available. I will not be packing them in for miles, so dont care too much about weight, and will be leaving them on the property. I also dont want to spend too much on them. What brand would you recommend, and why?

These seemed pretty easy to use. They always seem to have a "super sale" at Sportsman's Guide and they always seem to want $40 for four 5-foot sections. They come with all the hardware you will need. There is an order to stacking the sticks so lay them out on the garage floor so you can see how they work.

I bought 2 sets from Cabelas about 10 years ago.  Still use them.  Those that you posted look exactly like what I have. At that price I'd jump on them

Only thing I don't like is the alternating step. I like the ones with the step on the left and right. Just my prefference.

Rivers Edge...............rungs on both sides so you can stand with equal weight on each foot when hanging stand, rather than loading up one step of an alternating step ladder.

I have 5 of them, and never a problem..........

I have a set of Lone Wolf sticks that I like a lot. Not cheap, but I feel I've gotten good return for my investment. They're easy, quiet, and fast  to set up. Stack and pack neatly too. Relatively light.
