I've found a lot of old peels , 1-2 yrs. old , and one fresh pile of scat , no fresh peels yet . I'll be in there tomorrow night and Thur. night . Any body have an idea of when the fawns may be dropping ?

If it helps at all, the bears in Kapowsin are starting the tree peeling now. I found a few of these this last weekend along with lots of fresh scat.

Woodman did you draw a spring tag? What time of the day did you see that bear roaming the roads?

No tag for me this year, hoping for next year. The bear roaming the road was in the middle of the day.

Well best of luck to you on the draw next year. Tomorrow morning will be my first time in the gates with a tag. Never been up there. Lots of miles on the boots bright and early.

Judging from the size of that tree I may be an area that is a little to old , need to find smaller trees .

We've seen some fresh peels on the Lynch Creek side, and a few bears on the road. Been beating the brush for antlers, and there is alot of fresh sign everywhere.

Been up there 5-6 times now. Hung some cameras and only elk showed themselves. Lots of scat showing up on the roads that wasn't there the week before. I think the warm weather finally got the bears moving a little. Hopefully should be getting better in the next couple of weeks. Anybody go up Tuesday or Wednesday when the sun was out?

I was up there Monday afternoon , only saw some deer .  My week end is screwed up but I'll be in there Mon. , Tue., and Wed. afternoon . Judging from some of the pictures on this thread and another tread I'm in the wrong area . If you see a blue Jeep Cherokee driving around with a guy looking confused that'll be me , could you stop point me in the right direction .  ;)

We saw some last weekend but nothing new at all this weekend. We've mostly stayed down the 500 and 6000 rds. Any recommendations. I think we are gonna venture further in later this week.
