"anybody that spends time in those forests know that road maintenance by the USFS is basically non-existent."

If you know what has been going on in the USFS for some time now you'll understand.    Its called, Making sure the "desk jockey's" keep their jobs FIRST over the "useful" positions being filled!!   Paper pushers are more important then laborer's who get out and break a sweat!!

Its high time the Methow got put into the real world concerning ATV's

Fer shizzle. Road maintenance is devolving from grading, to wack the road side brush back, to oh well. Washed out, slide out and overgrown secondary FS roads are being allowed to go back to nature. How else can they make room for wolves.   :dunno:

Who wants to go over to the westside at all, is my question, not me in a million years. So you're safe from the eastsiders.

This wasn't passed for ATV riders,It was passed for the anti hunters to be able to go more places and harass the hunters and animals.  :twocents:

The 10% that drive off road and on trails closed to them is just going to increase now. Too bad.

Any guess how much it would cost to make an 07 Honda Rancher street legal?

Bicycle horn, a couple mirrors, turn signals, brake lights and headlights. $50 inspection fee. Then whatever the State charges. Mine was $38 for the on/off road plate when they come out. They give you a temp paper plate to display in the mean time.

Was looking at the Can Am Commanders. How about DOT tires, are they required also?

I don't believe DOT tires are required, but I'm not positive. I just got most of the street legal stuff for my new Can Am Commander in the mail yesterday. I think the mirrors are all I'm waiting on now, then the inspection at the dealer.
