Looking for a new taxidermist.

I'm trying to find a new taxidermy shop where I don't have to drive hours out of the way.  I spend a lot of time in Cle Elum so anyone highly recommended in that area would be great.  Does anyone have any experience with "Keepin It Real taxidermy" in Cle Elum?

I don't have any experience with them.  I do drive through Cle Elum often and have seen there sign.

I have all of my stuff done at Cedar River Taxidermy, they are a site sponsor at the top of this section.  It's a bit of a drive but nothing compared to miles I put on every hunting season to score my trophy.  He does great work, making 40 minute drive from Burien worth it.  Sometimes I drive 6-7 hours one way to get to my hunting spot for a weekend hunt.  40 minutes drive one way to drop a trophy that I have been lucky enough to take is nothing for me.

Peyser in Selah is awesome.   Its 45-50 minutes away from CleElum.  Is that too much of a drive for something you will look at for the rest of your life.     I haven't had them do anything of mine but I have seen a lot of his work and its all top notch.   He is also my neighbor and I know a lot of other folks that are happy with him.  I haven't heard any negative skuttle.    There also seems to be several on here that are also in the area.   I am less familiar with their work, but searching through the internet or our Taxidermy section, you should be able to get an idea.  Peyser posts his pricelist and has a good gallery on-line, or he did.  As far as I know he is not a sponsor of this site.

It says you spend a lot of time in Cle Elum, I assumed by your location you lived in Kenmore on the westside when I made my suggestion.

I live in Kenmore but work and play a lot in the Roslyn/Cle Elum area. I've heard nothing but good things about Cedar River though. Thanks for the input

I live in cle elum.  I don't know much about keeping it real taxidermy.  I called up there a few years back to see what he would charge for a european for a deer.  He was ridiculously over priced. I take my stuff to ric at all thats wild taxidermy in tieton.  He is a sponsor here on the forum.

Keepin it real taxidermy has done a full body bobcat and a shoulder mount bull for me and is in the process of mounting a buck.  His prices are great and his turn around times are even better.

Yea your not going to find a better guy to deal with then Ric from All that's wild taxidermy  he does amazing work and he has more then fair pricing. I live in Darrington and he is doing a bighorn sheep for me, I've seen his work and he is worth the drive from any distance, check him out you wont be disappointed.
