Early muzzy season in 460??
« on: April 28, 2014, 12:13:50 PM »
Unless I read the new regs wrong it looks like there is no early muzzy season in gmu 460, but there is a late season.. Does anybody know why that would be? Just seems a little weird..  Thanks.

That is the way it has been for the last few seasons.  Not sure if there was an early MZ season in the past.

One can only wish there to be an early muzzleloader season in 460

Lots of GMU's have a late muzzleloader season, but no early season- or vice versa. It's not unusual at all. I don't know what the reason would be. But, perhaps it's because the hunting at that time would actually be good. ???    :chuckle:

That's what usually happens if there's a good unit open at a good time with a high success rate- they get rid of it. Gotta keep those success rates low!

Yeah, I hear ya! Was just a little bummed, I drew a multi season deer tag and was hoping to hunt with my bow for the early ML season in 460.. Well, back to the  ol drawing board I guess!

Can't you hunt with your bow during the early archery season in 460?

Ironhead, yes I believe I can, but I will be spending the first half of archery season concentrating on elk in a different GMU. Was hoping to concentrate on just deer in the ML season in 460. It's all good though. Luckily I have a pretty long deer season ahead. Just threw in a little monkey wrench into my plans that's all.
