1903 .220 swift
« on: April 18, 2014, 10:51:50 PM »
I've got a 1903 barreled with a Winchester model 70 .220 swift barrel. Wondering if anybody has any idea on the value of this guy. I'll get a pic up tomorrow morning. I would love to find some Ammo and try this baby out.

I can't help with placing a value on it, but it sure is a nice looking rifle.

I can't help with the value either, but 220's are nice shooting guns. I wish I never got rid of my Cooper 220 swift  :bash:

I love the gun. I truley do. I've owned three or four 03s. Is there a name on it ie; rock island?  Also look to see if its an "a" rifle.  Some of the earlier ones had faulty heat treating in the actions. There i..s a serial number cutoff..easy to look up. But unless it's an Alvin Linden or Pachmeyer or Abercrombie and Fitch our Decker custom gun, it's most likley not worth more than three, Tthree an aquarter. Love it though, an old school action and an old school hot rod caliber.
