Just go to a license dealer and exchange your old tag for the new tag. You need to do it during business hours, I believe, because the dealer will need to call the WDFW in Olympia.Next year don't select the deer tag yet when you purchase the package. You can get the tag later if you don't draw the multi.

If you check the box, then you have to choose archery, muzzleloader, or modern). Or if you're still unsure, you don't check the box, and you then have to get your tag later. Which is what I did.
