Anyone shoot over a chronograph?

I tried it yesterday but couldn’t get a reading. Don’t know if it was the clouds or muzzle blast or what. I'd really like to know how fast our muzzies are pushing these 300 plus grain bullets.

Dad and I did it several years ago.
If I remember right, our Thompson Centers were pushing 295 gr bullets downrange with 100gr. of black powder at about 1300 fps.

That sounds about right. I believe I was pushing 295 PB's at 1500fps with 100grs or Pryodex "P" powder. The P(pistol) powder is faster. Accuracy did drop a bit so i went back to the RS select. Would like to see what I'm getting with 777.
