go right on down to the army surplus store and get a pair of green and black jungle boots, no better hiking boot known to man  :tup:they are lite and dry out fast when they get wet

yeah its for real, why, hiked literally 100s of miles in those boots, put them through the absolute worst conditions from high mountains to the jungle swamps in south america, they hold up to anything, they are not for cold weather but the op is looking for something for warm weather hiking :tup:

I actually wore those boots in high school (teenage phase I guess ) bit from what I remember not quite what I was looking for. Thanks though. :tup:

anyone used these kenetrek light hikers yet? lots of people on here have great things to say about kenetreks so thought it might be worth a look. thought it said on amazon they were imported from china though any idea on that?

Vibrams! Takes a few hikes to get used to them but they are super light and very hardy. No joke. And grips like a puma.

I picked up a pair of Keene Targhee II mid hikers from cabelas last year, used them all summer and through early archery. Still holding up well. I'm very happy with them.
