I have a PSE Vengeance and love it! 60# shoots smooth and quiet. You do not need an expensive bow to have a good bow  ;)  been shooting mine for three years now and won't be changing for quite some time.

Have fun,

I have shot a PSE Stingray for ten years Ive changed to a BOWTECH this year and Ive never even held it in my hand (wife bought it while I was here) but PSE makes some good bows...not familiar with that model

welcome to the bow brother...its a different sport all together!

Welcome to being a bowhunter.  I myself upgraded this year from a Clearwater that I have had for 7-8 years and bought a new Bowtech Captain.  Do yourself a favor and try out any new bow you might buy in the future and compare to all the others out there!  I am sure you will love your PSE!

Welcome to the wonderful world of bowhunting. I think you'll soon find that archery is a lifelong addiction of which one cannot easily kick - nor will you want to. If you haven't done so already, I'd suggest that you check the Washington State Archery Association website in order to locate the archery club nearest to you. Besides 3D shoots and the like, at these clubs you'll meet lots of good folks as well as people who can give you help getting started.

The first thing you will find now that you are a bowhunter is.... With a rifle, the hunt ends when you see the game you are after. With a bow, the hunt just begins when you see the game you are after!

Good luck to you and yes, you'll never go back :)

+1...make that a 15 year jump start!  Seriously, get into a NBEF class.  Many states are now requiring Bowhunter Education certification.

Congrats, very addicting and rewarding, there is nothing like calling a bull elk into bow range and sticking him. I own a PSE Dream Season and love the bow

Yes, there's an archery club in Spokane. Here's the web address of the Evergreen Archers:

Check them out.
