My Photo Road Trip
« on: November 25, 2008, 01:47:00 PM »
Last friday night landed me in Ellensburg, so I got up early saturday morning to take a drive out the canyon. Got started bright and early, and was able to see this sunrise...

I didn't make it very far before I saw a group of Mule deer feeding in a field, but they were too far off for a good pic. Stopped and got a picture of the river though.

Went a little ways farther and started seeing groups of Sheep. I spent quite some time looking at one group when I looked on the hill behind me, and this guy was seeing what I was doing. We played hide and seek for quite a while and I took quite a few pic of him.

I then focused back on the bigger guys across the river. Here's one pic where you can see numerous rams hot on the tail of one ewe.

I will get more posted later tonight....I gotta go back to work now.  :)

Here's one of the two better rams. This one is cropped, so the quality suffered a little, but I thought it was cool with them both curling their lip...

Alright, this will probably be the last batch since I just have a bunch of pics of the same rams. This one is of the guy who was on the hill behind me. He was intent on making it to the road as he was watching the action on the other side of the river. The closest I got to him was about 60-70 yards, but he wouldn't sit still at that distance for a good pic.

Then, there was plenty of sniffing action going on across the river. It would have been awesome to be able to get closer.

One of the smaller rams feeding...

...and I gotta throw in my lil "pisscutter" buck  ;)
