Finally made it out.

Broke out the old rod and spent yesterday on the lake.  Soaked up some sun and read up on the permits while I fished.

Nice bro! We went out yesterday and managed to hook around 20 fish in 2 hours, Let a bunch go because they were small.

Any fish left in a stringer will be nasty.  A deeper cold water lake helps.  But immediately cut their throats and toss on ice for best results.  I know guys who toss them on a stringer all day in the shallow warm in the sun.  Then clean them when they get home.  And wonder why they taste like mud  :dunno:
