my friends first deer ever
« on: November 25, 2008, 07:18:40 PM »
Hello all,
My friend got her first deer yesterday and I went to her home and skinned it for her so I could get the hide. She went out in GMU 113 and posted herself along a well used game trail and saw many does and fawns, she decided to hold off since the season is barely under way, late muzzeloader. after waiting and watching, this bruiser of a whitetail comes out and walks broadside in front of her at 20 yards! she put the smackdown on him with her brother's 54 cal.
I jokingly told her she's ruined if she thinks she is gonna get 'em that big, that easy, every time!
4x5, just look at the mass!

That is an awesome Buck!  Great mass on those sticks. Interesting Note: I was at a game processor in Spokane a couple of weeks ago and I saw some other bucks shot from 113 and they all had great antler mass. even the smaller ones. maybe it's a coincidence or maybe it's the genetics in that region?
