Nikon customer service

I was pleasantly surprised with a part in the mail from nikon.  Last September I contacted nikon to see if I could buy a replacement eye up for my monarch 800 rangefinder.  They said it was too old and they did not have eye cups for that model. I thought that was the end of that.

Then today a package showed up with the eye cup.....free of charge.

I love Nikon service and of course their product.  About 2 years ago I broke the eye cup on my binos, they normally will screw up and down for different eye relief.  And I did something and one of them would screw right off.  So I contacted Nikon and said if it was under warranty (they were pretty old binos, kind of their lower end as well) They said I had to send them in to see.  And I would either get them fixed and shipped back free or I would be emailed a layout of what it would cost if not under warranty.  I sent them in and never heard from Nikon then I got a package in the mail all fixed free of charge.  Great, but heres where it gets better.  That fall I broke the little plastic click on the side where you attach a strap.  Again I contacted Nikon and sent them in.  Again a little bit later I got a package and this time there was a note saying they weren't able to fix my binos so here is a brand new pair of our new Monarch 5's.   Ever scope, rangefinder, binos, spotting scope I have for myself, son or wife is all Nikon.  Great produce great price and awesome warranty.  Matter a fact I just received 2 of there newer Prostaff 5 3.5-14X40 with custom XR turrets.

Sent my Monarches to Nikon to have one of the eye pieces replaced, since you can't just buy them on line.  :bash: Got them back three weeks later with both eye pieces replaced  :tup:.

Good warrenty coverage just takes them a little longer than I would expect.

I do think my next set will be Vortex, sent my range finder into them and had a brand new one in less than two weeks.  :tup:
