For the first time in many years, I'm starting to shoot my bow again - it's an old 62" 53# Hoyt recurve that I've had for a long time. Used to shoot it pretty well. At this point my skills are rusty, but they'll improve with practice. Am not interested in buying a new bow at this time.
I've primarily been a mule deer hunter, now and again I'll go for elk. Live and hunt mostly around Wenatchee in Chelan & Douglas County. Am mostly looking to get more field time, and am not particularly concerned with getting a "trophy" buck or bull with the bow. A cow or a doe would be fine with me although I'd not turn down a shot at a good mulie buck!
Next year what do you recommend I start out with for archery? Deer or elk? Or both? Why?
Thanks, Guy
