Old Photos
« on: May 05, 2014, 03:25:30 PM »
Been going through mass amounts of old photos lately and found some ones of my dad around my age now so I did a little side-by-side comparison with them. Just kind of neat, hopefully soon I can add more with actual big game animals, because I have lots of old pics of his but none for me yet lol.

I need to work on my lingcod skills..

Not a comparison because I've never caught a sturgeon, and won't ever get to take one home now... but little me next to one.

My grandpa, I thought this picture was really cool. I know nothing about it though..

Your father is quite the fashionista, isn't he? :chuckle:  I love the yellow vest picture   I assume he is darn proud of his little girl!
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

Love the old photos, keep them safe!

The guy on the boat seems to be checking out your back pockets!    :chuckle:

I'm the youngest of the brothers and sisters in my bunch, so all the old photos are in my safe keeping for now.  Will hand them down to one of my son's ... hopefully not too soon.

Aweee.. I hope he is :) ..
I think that's my favorite thing about all the old photos I have of him... all various stages of him dressing up his dang plaid flannels. So funny to me ... logger's life. At least with age he now wears shirts under the flannels and none of that open bear chest down to the 3rd button nonsense hahaha >_<  :chuckle: but he still dresses exactly the same:

LOL everyone says that! His way short wife is behind me, but it does look that way.

I've gotten all the pics from my mom's side given to me but I only have select few from my dad's side. He remarried when I was 5 years old and most of his personal things went with him (obviously). My mom gave me a lot of pictures from when they were together and last year my step-mom gave me a lot of reprinted ones from my dad :) so I was really happy. I'm a picture hoarder, all very well taken care of and categorized. Love it.

Awesome pics!!

Some really cool pics. Cool to see the hunting/fishing heritage being passed down. Good for you!

That is a really cool pic of your grandpa with a hound and bear and the rifle he used. I never had any pic's pf my grandpa's hunting and fishing. I did get a pic of a of a man leaning on a tree with a lot of deer hanging and the rifle and shotguns they used in the picture. I can't tell if that is my grandpa or not. The picture was taken back in 1938 and had a list of the men in the hunting party. I will always keep it close to me. I like all your pic's very cool.

Wow that's an old one! Very cool :D even if you're not sure if it's your grandpa, it must be from your family either way.
