Last years spring bear mounted
« on: May 06, 2014, 09:34:49 AM »
Got last years spring bear back from taxidermist. I really like it and am glad I sent this route instead of the rug. Makes the white patch a lotore visible. Enjoy

 :yeah:

Did you skin the bear knowing you were going to go with this type of mount, or did you split him right up the middle and have the taxidermist repair it?

Johnny, What did that guy end up measuring? Beautiful mount and good idea with that white patch.

I planned on this mount so I split him from the back. He was a really stalky bear and not real long. This style of mount shows off his girth in the chest and head. And eli I haven't had him measured yet. Still waiting for that dang skull.  :bash: :bash:

We ought to start a pool to guess what he measures. I say 20 3/16" from the pics. It's a brute and I'd be smiling too. That's neat the way you put the pics side by side for comparison. Still a great bear with a lot of character.

Sweet bear, who did it and what was the cost? Im trying to decide how to mount mine from this yr.
As far as the biggest Luke Carrick's from last yr I would put $ on is bigger. Sooo close to a new state record.
Avid ARCHERY deer and elk hunter.
Coyote killer in the off season.
MX Racer simi retired to practice when I can.

Cool looking mount. I like this style better also. ( more realistic). Your bear was my favorite from last year. Nice job.
