Fall Turkey Question
« on: May 20, 2014, 09:29:32 AM »
Ok, I looked in the regs but I'm still not clear on what the rule is.  I've already harvested my 2 eastern washington spring birds, now can I buy another tag to hunt the fall season or am I done?  Like I said I looked in the regs so don't flame me too hard I just couldnt figure them out.  Thanks!

:yeah:  You're allowed 3 bearded birds in the spring (2 from eastern Wa & 1 from western Wa), 3 birds in the early fall (2 beardless birds in some eastern Wa areas and an additional bird of either sex in other areas of eastern Wa), and 1 late fall bird of either sex in eastern Wa where allowed.  That's 7 birds possible per year ....

Don't worry about getting flamed, the regs aren't that easily understood, IMO.  Even the WDFW personnel can be slightly confused.  Here's a thread I started, last fall, with the same issue...along with what WDFW told me...
