The number left, ie, in Chelan (4) means, 4 more may be taken before the GMU is closed? Male or female?

Thanks...was just curious.

They can take 4 toms, or 1 female and then it's pursuit season only.  However once the female is taken the harvest is over, it then becomes pursuit only.

sounds like if we want to cut down the lion population a little, folks need to stop shooting the females....

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

How do they come-up with the quota?  Seems awfully low to me.
May I always be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.

there shouldn't be a draw for hound hunting cougars.  everyone that buys a cougar tag should be able to kill one cougar with or without hounds.

i hope they start giving out wolf tags within the next few years before they rape the elk and deer populations like they did in Yellowstone.

I know this post is for cougars, but do bobcats have the same quota? That would be a kick to run bobcat with dogs.

Nope no quota, because you can't run them in this state at all.  It was banned the same time they did baiting for bears and running lions with dogs.   :bash: :bash: :bash:
