Spring bear on cam, Monroe Unit, New bear also
« on: May 11, 2014, 01:02:15 PM »
This lil guy is trying to be sneaky. He is/was eating on oats that sprouted from last years food plot. This is in the Monroe unit and is legal to hunt for the spring tag.

If those oats were planted isn't that baiting? I think the seeds might have been blown in from a farmers field. :chuckle:

Is hunting bear in a  orchard baiting, or any other food type crop grown, let's see fir trees grown agriculture crop is not baiting?  :stirthepot: :peep:

It is not. When the oats were put down last year...yes it would have been considered bait. However now they are growing like a food plot. Not baiting at all.

If you get those pink flamingo's set up it would draw in more and bigger bears.

Thats the thing....They were. However, as we know that bears do not like flamingos the pictured trouble maker did away with one. I've got to get back up there and look for it. I've got a blurry pic of him with it in his mouth.

No. If it's planted/growing it isn't baiting.

For anyone concerned this was put down last summer. I also put down some throw and grow that the crittes like to eat. There is no baiting at this location.
