Nevada Results
« on: May 15, 2014, 01:37:21 AM »
Nevada should post results next week.  I am on my 5 year wait for antelope.  And did pts only for sheep and elk.  I did put in for a deer tag but I used all of my deer pts last year so I will be very surprised if I draw.

They posted all their tag quotas for this year so draws shouldn't be far behind! :IBCOOL:

I just did some spreadsheet calculations to figure out my odds a little closer. Came up with Deer odds of 3.62%, Elk odds of 4.93%, Antelope odds of 0.91%, Desert Sheep odds of 2.29% and California Bighorn odds of 0.42% for a total chance of 12.17% Not holding my breath, basically a points building year. I'm guessing results on Friday the 23rd. Good luck everybody.

It was a lot of fun.  Saw a couple decent bucks but but came home with my tag.  Had to cut the trip short a couple days because my dad got really sick.  I think the last couple of days would have been really good hunting.  The rut was starting to really pickup when we left.

Dang it...struck out on deer, elk, and sheep with nine points, but they were all good hunts with some steep odds.  Points only for antelope due to drought conditions in the best areas.  Maybe 10 will get me something next year.
