Anyone?  Probably a longshot for us poor Washington NR's, but would be cool if someone drew.  No moose for me.

I'm in for moose again this year.  Not for sheep.
Hopefully they keep my money and not issue me the rebate check again.  :chuckle:
Well, crap, I thought I might pull my tag this year.
Figures.....of the 11 peeps that had 14 points, 7 of them got tags.  Naturally, I had to be one of the 4.   :bash:
If I would have stuck with the area I applied for last year I'd have been drawn.

It's official, I will now apply for WA.  Oh boy, can't wait....

Myself and my hunting buddy drew our moose tags for WY! Came in the mail yesterday! :IBCOOL:

I bailed on the point system when they jacked the prices to $75 for moose points. So we weighed out the costs of Idaho at $2,200 for a tag VS. the WY tag at $1,416. All things being even we decided to put in for WY and see what happened. Yep we  are hunting moose! No points either! Yes there is a hitch but I am not telling! :yike:

I baled 3 years ago on both sheep and moose. The part I didnt like about drawing a ram permit in WY is if you want to hunt any wilderness area you have to hire a guide. Most of the best sheep units are wilderness hunts. I'm definitely not against going guided but I sure would like the option to do it on my own if that's what I choose.
So the cost of 10 more years @ $100 plus $6-8,000 for a guide wasn't worth it to me.
Moose is a little different. I baled thinking because I figured I'd be able to draw in WA or ID cheeper.

Ok, since nobody else will bite, I will.  What is the hitch?  You have already drawn your OIL moose tag, so you can tell us.  It can be our little secret.  :chuckle:

moose points in wyoming are $75 a year and the sheep is $100

I started early and my first 6 moose points were only $7 so I won't have quite as much invested when I finally draw. I dropped out of the sheep game when I found out that your points DO NOT come in to play in the random draw. I was still way out from the max point pool.
