I think we all know where he is during the daylight, unfortunately like most monsters  it's do damn thick, he'll see you or smell you before you get a chance to even get in the neighborhood!  Good luck!

Either that or he will lay low and let you walk by at ten yards.  :bash:

This dude is nocturnal 100%.  I'm not sure how I'll get a crack at him.

You could tell me where he is and I'll chase him to you   :dunno:     :chuckle:

Gee, thanks for all the offers to help but no thanks...I like beating my friggin' head like this  :bash: :bash: :bash:  Maybe he'll get his other eye poked next fall and I find him bumping into trees.

To add salt to the wounds, another good buck walked past another cam three times on opening day...all during daylight hours.  Good thing I was 3/4 mile away passing up forkies that Charlie wouldn't even let walk  :chuckle:

Awesome blacktail. I know the frustration of having a big buck like this show up only after dark. Sometimes I think those big bucks just want to turn, smile into the camera, and flip you off. Anyway, keep at it and I hope that big boy makes a mistake for you.

Hey Tom break out the salt & apples, watch the wind and sneak up on his right side.  :chuckle: Good Luck, he's going to be worth it when you connect.

You might have to pull the all nighter and sleep next to that camera.

I caved in and took a decently wide and heavy fork horn so I could hunt elk.  He'll be there next year and I plan on hunting rifle season with my bow to have more rut influence.  With a poked out eye and the rut, maybe - just maybe - I'll get a leg up on him  :chuckle:
