Shorter mountain goat seasons
« on: April 27, 2014, 07:57:27 AM »
Don't know now I missed it but I just noticed in the regs that WDFW shortened goat seasons and they now ends on October 15. Talk about making it tough to hold out for a good hide. You have a weather system move in and your screwed in mid-October.

Anyone know the reason for shortening seasons?

That was an error. The ending date is actually October 31st.

You must still be half asleep.  I can barely make out what you are trying to say.  That or it was one rough night last night :chuckle:

I noticed the shorter season too.  No reason I can think of unless they want all LEO's available for rifle elk season.
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

Yup, they issued a correction online.  Glad to hear.

I had no idea what you were talking about until I re-read my original post.  Not a late night, just stupid iphone autocorrect.  It's cleaned up now.

After seeing those short goat seasons early, I put in only for later seasons. For my one and only Mt Goat, I want one with a nice winter coat for sure.
Now after reading this, I'm glad it was a mistake and corrected.
