FOC - would you rather
« on: May 18, 2014, 10:15:25 AM »
Carbon Express Maxima Hunters 350s
125 gr head

Would you rather have an FOC of 12.2% with a bulldog collar OR would you rather have an FOC of 12.8% without a collar?

I really wouldn't care. most times I would bet you couldn't tell a difference.

You probably won't notice that much of a difference with either.  What advantages do the bulldog collars have (I am not familiar with them)?  If there are no real advantages I would go without and keep the FOC 12.8%

My other thought would be to shoot with and without and see what groups better.

Good Luck

I agree, Your not going to notice .6 of 1% difference in front of center.

Your winning with either or, at that point I don't think it matters.

Personally I don't think it matters. Most arrows don't even have bulldogs to protect the nock. I shot the maxima 350's today. Not a bad arrow. Pulled easy out of the targets. A bit pricey though.

Once you reach 12% it doesn't matter much.  You will be happier keeping the collar IMO.  Makes the shaft a lot more durable and deflects arrow stacking quite well.  I've probably saved over $200 in shafts with the collar bouncing a second arrow away from the first arrow.

Deflects broadheads too :IBCOOL:

I'd leave the collars on like RAD said. I've never shot Maxima's but the same collars fit Beman ICS Hunters. When I was shooting them, they definitely saved many a shaft.
Well, all except this one, LOL.
