any advice on skagit?

Just curious if anybody has hunted spring bear in skagit and might have any pointers they might want to share??

If you just drive your luck will be slim.  Get out on a few good looking side roads and walk them out.  Your odds will improve greatly.

Agreed. I hunted it a few years ago and saw very little sign early. Then got real busy at work and didn't make it out much the last 2 weeks. It was like an explosion of sign though. Right now is the time to hit it hard. Saw my first bear on the road driving out at night the last day.
Take your kids into the outdoors. They are our future. Support conservation by joining and participating in future through NRA, SCI, RMEF, Wild Sheep or any of the other great organizations.

Spur roads and cuts that are a couple years old that you can still glass well.

Thanks! ya it seems like it went off this past week found lots of sign and a few peels that where only a day or two old!!

Yeah I had the tag in 11 and 12 both of my bears came out of a couple year old cuts. I was hunting early though.  Next time I will wait tell later in the season to start hunting. My 11 bear was the last week of april. The 12 bear was the first week of may.

They are definitely out, have seen 6 and just notched tag this morning. If you are on sign keep hitting it, I actually saw bears this year in areas that had no sign.
