Cougar that attacked dog, sheep, goats trapped by wildlife agents near Ellensburg

THE ASSOCIATED PRESS May 16, 2014

ELLENSBURG, Washington — State Fish and Wildlife officers trapped a cougar Thursday north of Ellensburg that they believe has been attacking farm animals and a pet dog.

Capt. Rich Mann told Daily Record (http://bit.ly/1jmh7I3) the cat had to be killed because it's attacking livestock.

It's believed the cougar attacked and injured a dog Wednesday and that it also attacked a sheep and two pygmy goats in the same area.

We've had a big tom wandering around for several years west of Eburg, hadn't seen it since the fire.
