GMU 368 Rimrock
«

Hi Guys,
Is anyone seeing any cows up at Rimrock? Ahh, and in bow range? I only have a day or so left to hunt. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Gmu 364 is rimrock 368 is cowiche, which is not open. Elk area 3682 is open which is part of the cowiche unit. If your hunting rimrock try pinegrass ridge, its pretty thick though. Or around lost lake.

Sorry, You are right. 368 is Cowiche and is not open I belief. I mean 364 Rimrock. Thank you for your suggestion. Is lost lake around the Clear lake area?
Thanks again!

There hasnt been much around in rimrock. You will want to walk a long way's away from the roads to have a chance. I just spent the last two weeks in rimrock and nile and never saw very many elk, I did go up to the little naches unit and ran across 6 and almost closed the deal. They where realy high 6500+ and went higher after I didnt get a shot. So I would say the higher the better right now.

Its up chinook pass so instead of going up white go toward the nile. There seemed to be late fewer hunters in that unit and the elk didnt seem to pressured. If you do go to the rimrock unit you will need to get away from the roads and the road hunters to realy see anything. I did see 6 elk right at dark by the road but they where very jumpy and you couldnt get with in bow range of them unless you have some one drive them to you.

No clear lake is on the west side of rimrock lake, while lost lake is east of rimrock lake. Try louie way gap and that area. Don't be afraid to try the Autanum areas if we ever get any snow
